The Future Workplace affects the entire organisation, particularly the way that employees communicate and cooperate. In turn, this affects the relationships that employees have with the organisation, and their motivation and efforts (translated into productivity and vitality). IT equipment plays an essential role in facilitating communication and cooperation.
It is important to perform surveys among employees, focusing on the equipment required for doing your work properly and in particular for cooperating. This might be about using (internal) social media, communication tools such as Webex or Windows Lync for example, using the VPN connection outside the office, or about access to essential business applications. This requires surveys which are compact and are preferably carried out frequently (once a quarter or once every six months).
