From the very first day, our team wanted to shift paradigms. The heart of many organizations – IT – is rarely a subject of compliments. It is so integral to each task and project that smoothly working IT is recognized as a bare necessity. Each inconvenience or a lagging system immediately becomes subject to criticism. For us, however, IT operations are complex and ever changing for the benefit of the end-user. Therefore, we decided to encourage a different approach to IT and celebrate the achievements in IT – measuring IT Happiness! IT Happiness Awards I love my job I love Information technology

In 2015, after seeing quite a few inspiring organizations that were doing their utmost to improve IT for their daily operations, we decided the dedication needs to be celebrated.  Out of the database of dozens of organizations, many could have been used as examples of success stories. Their willingness to change and improve and the results they brought were too impressive for us not to share. That is when the IT Happiness Awards were introduced. We wanted to congratulate the exceptional organizations that actively manage and are continuously improving their IT end-user satisfaction.

Last year, we presented two categories: IT Happiness Ambassador of the Year 2015 and IT Happiness Officer of the Year 2015. This year, with the growing database of organizations measuring IT Happiness, we will reward  winners in the following 5 categories:

  1. IT-Happiness Service Desk of the Year 2016: up to 1000 users
  2. IT-Happiness Service Desk of the Year 2016: more than 1000 users
  3. IT-Happiness Organization of the Year 2016: up to 1000 users
  4. IT-Happiness Organization of the Year 2016: more than 1000 users
  5. IT-Happiness Officer of the Year 2016

In 2016, we served 91 clients, 74 of which have passed the bar for the Awards criteria.  41 of them are Dutch-based and 33 clients are international clients. International companies, governmental bodies and companies from far away continents are among the winners. However, we believe that in the coming years IT Happiness awards will reach organizations all over the globe, contributing to the global IT Happiness benchmarking system.
